Annual meeting of Eurovision Science & Education & Language / May 8 and 9, 2008 - Lucerne (Switzerland).

The yearly Eurovision Science & Education conference is scheduled for Thursday May 8 and Friday May 9, 2008 in Lucerne - at a new location with better facilities than the 2007 conference. We hope you will mark these inspiring days in your diary!

The Programme Group members as well as the Presidency have been busy in putting together a two-day schedule. Based on the outcome of the returned questionnaires we have focused and shortened the schedule.

We are proud to announce that the keynote speaker is Wim Veen, Professor at the University of Delft in Holland. He is the author of the book “Homo Zappiens” in which he deals with the question whether children, who grow up in a digital world, consume media differently and thus also learn differently. He will kick–start the conference with a multi-media presentation about his new findings and latest cross-media developments.

Also on May 8 and 9, 2008:

  • parallel sessions for science, education and language
  • a worldwide tour of new formats: Program Spotting
  • a session to learn How to Improve one’s Talent for Pitching
  • and a closing plenary that deals with new structures and best practice of cross media.

Eurovision TV Summit 2008 - Reserve the dates now!
03-12-2007 @ 15:16 CET by Eurovision TV

We are pleased to inform you that the next Eurovision Summit will be held in Lucerne from 5-9 May, 2008.

Feedback from last year was excellent, and Eurovision TV is working hard to top the programme in 2008.

In 2007, dozens of meetings were held over the 5 days covering the genres of science & education, children and youth, fiction, music & dance, entertainment, crossmedia, formats etc. Hundreds of delegates attended also the Common Focus Day with renowned speakers covering the topic of storytelling.

The theme for the Common Focus Day in 2008 is “The Creative Camera” and renowned international cinematographers and cameramen have already expressed interest in participating.

This year, the registration process will be significantly simplified. There will be a uniform registration fee per participant allowing to attend any meeting of interest and including lunches and a number of dinners. The fee will be fixed by the Television Committee well before the registration process is launched in February.

All information about conferences, venues, hotels, programmes, and more will be made available on www.eurovisiontvsummit.com. We invite you to check this website from time to time for updated information. We will upload the newest information about the programme as it evolves.

If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us at:
