27-05-10 Meetings and Conferences rescheduled

27.04.2010 Eurovision TV Summit : 174 participants, rescheduling meetings and participation fees.

174 participants attended Eurovision TV Summit despite travel chaos.

As you are all very aware, the volcano ash situation brought most flights around Europe to a halt during the week of the Eurovision TV Summit.

Eurovision TV was determined however to do its utmost to allow those who had already travelled to Lucerne to attend the meetings.
All meetings therefore took place until Wednesday 21st including the Common Focus Day which was rich in content with inspiring presentations. As many participants could not attend these meetings a “live stream” was set up to enable people to view the meetings in real-time.

Rescheduling
Meetings The meetings which have been cancelled will be rescheduled to Geneva or to other convenient locations in the Autumn. The meeting responsible will contact you in the near future with new dates and places for these meetings.

Participation Fee
For participants who were unable to travel to Lucerne the participation will be reimbursed.

Survey
It is important to us that we hear your feedback about the event so we can focus on the issues that are important to you. Both participants and non-participants will be sent shortly a survey about the Eurovision TV Summit.

We would like to thank you for your efforts and support to make the Eurovision TV Summit the best event possible despite the forces of nature beyond our control! We are sorry to those of you who could not make it to Lucerne but we look forward to seeing you soon at the rescheduled meetings.

19-04-10 Iceland Volcano Ash Causes Changes to Eurovision TV Summit Programme.

Eurovision TV is committed to delivering quality meetings to its Members. To ensure the best programme for the Eurovision TV Summit the schedule has been changed as follows:

• Monday (19th), Tuesday (20th) and Wednesday (21st , Common Focus Day) meetings will take place as scheduled
  
• All meetings on Thursday (22nd) and Friday (23rd)  are postponed to a later date except EBUconnect (Please contact Max Johns for further details on EBUconnect, Tel.: +49 1622022007)

We are still confident that the Common Focus Day will be a world-class event showing the best in Public Service Programming in the “Proud to Present” session and with  a prestigious line-up of speakers to talk about the theme of the day: e-Motion.

A special  Eurovision World Feed on the “Best in Public Service Programming”, with highlights of the “Proud to Present” session and the Common Focus Day will go out on same day (Wednesday 21st April) at 18.00 Lucerne local time.

TEDxTransmedia, true to the spirit of the TED conference, aims to inspire Public Service Media, to “DARE” more for creating innovative content and borderline strategies to connect with the audience of the future.

After the TEDx Transmedia, the Eurovision CrossMedia² meeting will focus on ManyMedia as the convergence of the various digital platforms.
